Do Or Die Situation For UGC: Part First

Dear Friends,
After the solid setback in Supreme Court over Special Leave Petition [SLP], it is a ‘Do or Die situation for UGC’. Let me elaborate what such a situation means. But before elaborating it let me focus on what happened in the court.
Synopsis:
The judges were very aggressive.
The judges mentioned it clearly that:
1] NET exam is an     ......................................
academic examination.
2] UGC's notification regarding the NET was incomplete during June'12.
3] the deliberate modification in the notification in Dec'12 & June'13 Examination by UGC proves that June’ 12 notification regarding the NET was incomplete.
4] UGC is fighting this case against students only for its ego.
5] do not wait for the judgement.
6] issue the certificate to the victims.
7] NET Exam is an eligibility test and students have to take tests or to face interviews for appointment.
8] this case in not related to any kind of appointment.
9] clarify to all students in future about UGC’s final criteria before the conduct of any kind of UGC NET examination as UGC did it in Dec'12 & June'13 NET examination."
10] they are not inclined to allow UGC's SLP.
11] UGC may raise the minimum required marks in the next exams through notification but NOT for JUNE 2012.

In the end, the court then said that they either dismiss the SLP or the UGC should   make a statement that they would withdraw. The UGC lawyer then asked for time till Tuesday to seek instructions from UGC.  If UGC does not make statement to withdraw, the court will be compelled to dismiss the SLP and it will be a slap on UGC. I think that UGC too will behave sensibly now. Hence the court has called to gather again on Tuesday, 10 September, 2013 to know the stand of UGC.
In fine, UGC HAS TO WITHDRAW SLP or TO SEE ITS SLP GETS REJECTED. Really, DO or DIE SITUATION FOR UGC.
