Letter written by ‘Meera’ : Second Part
Dear
Friend,
In the result
notification it is said that
1. The Commission shall not be responsible for any
technical/typographical error of any kind for this notification. The decision
of the Commission in all matters of dispute shall be final.
2. UGC takes utmost care in finalisation of result. However,
if any error is detected at a later stage, UGC may rectify the result
accordingly.
In the 2nd point they said they are not responsible for any
error of any kind for this notification. Then what is purpose of the notification.
What is its validity, who will take the responsibility is it the UGC or
the candidates.
In the 5th point they said they take utmost care in
finalisation of result. Even if any error is detected at a later stage, they
will correct it. They have not corrected it even I have mailed and not
yet replied for the mail.
An error is one that which can be found out by themselves or
others. If an error is found out by candidates it is the responsibility of UGC
to go through and correct it.
In the SC/ST/PWD candidates category they have not corrected
the mistake of 55% aggregate which is imaginary and one can not achieve exactly
55%. 55% in aggregate means out of 350 it is 192.5 marks.
In the application notification of June 2012 it is stated
that for OBC(Non-creamy layer)
Paper
I - 35 (35%)
Paper
II - 35 (35%)
Paper
III - 67.5 (45 %) rounded off to 68
They have to obtain the above minimum marks to consider for
final preparation of result. If the 67.5 mark can be rounded off to 68 marks
for Paper III in their notification. Then they have to correct the mistake for
the SC/ST/PWD candidates who obtain 192 marks must be declared passed/cleared
NET June 2012.
Rule must be applicable to all, irrespective of whether it
is an Institution or an Individual.
The 0.5 marks to be reduced for SC/ST/PWD candidates and
they have declare those who possess 192 marks in aggregate in this category as
passed/cleared NET June 2012.
One among their argument is that they have fixed the final
criteria with an expert committee. It shows 'the expertness' in fixing
the final criteria for SC/ST/OBC, even if the arguments of UGC is accepted.
Regards,
Meera
