Advocate's Opinion

Dear Friends,
As some candidates have been discussing the issue, especially date on date of Kerala High Court Division Bench, with the senior advocates, the gut feeling of some advocates is that the hearing on 4th March will be final and the verdict will be informed to both petitioners and respondents. As it is already happened in the Kerala High Court Single Bench, the verdict will not be declared in the court but will be informed to both due to writ petition. Keep fingers crossed on 4th March i.e. on Monday.
Surprisingly, the hearing of Nagpur High Court is also scheduled on 4th March. So, UGC may receive double doses.
Regards,
Mr. Lajpat Singh
New Delhi.

  2. Though I am also a affected party, it is a common sense that Court cannot arm twist UGC by its Order! The UGC then will automatically cite pending matter in another HC (MAdras, Nagpur etc) and so drag the issue. Finally the matter has to go to SC and by that time the heat will be gone from all for they would have passed in the subsequent examinations. May be the UGC might have even decided through its committee to scrap the NET and SET. Already there is a case in Madras HC to scrap the SET conducted recently in the State!
